James joined the firm as a Trainee Solicitor in 2013 and is now a Senior Associate within our Commercial Disputes team.
After completing his training contract at the firm, gaining experience in each of our different legal sectors, James qualified as a Solicitor with our Commercial Disputes team.
Since qualification James has dealt with a large variety of matters, with a particular focus on the telecommunications sector. He is also developing a specialism in property and construction litigation, as well assisting in complex corporate cases and the team’s complex litigation generally.
A particular case which highlights James’ ability to work on complex litigious matters is the recent case of Bainbridge v Bainbridge [2016] EWHC 898 (Ch) where James worked alongside Paul Bennett to set a new legal principle in respect of Capital Gains Tax.
James is also a committee member on the Younger Guns events board.
Being in the world of utilities, we have had our fair share of bad debtors previously using a large and well known firm to handle our affairs. Over time we became frustrated at the lack of contact and also felt like we were just a number. We have been so impressed since James has taken over our credit collection process - so much so - we now no longer use any other legal practice.
