Equality & Diversity.

Respecting individuals.

We promote equality, diversity and dignity and offer an inclusive and rewarding environment in which our partners, employees, workers, clients and visitors can work and participate.

We intend not only to meet our legislative equality obligations. We aspire, beyond this, proactively to promote a culture of diversity and inclusion. Embracing diversity means acknowledging, understanding and appreciating the differences between individuals, whether it involves differences in gender, marital status, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, culture, religious beliefs, values, disability, physical ability, mental capacity, youth or maturity or other personal attributes.

Valuing diversity is about seeing everyone as individuals, valuing the abilities and skills they can bring to an organisation. It is about respecting differences within minority groups and not expecting everyone to conform to the ways of majority groups.

UK employment law (including the Equality Act 2010) prohibits discrimination against the individuals with protected characteristics. It is both our policy and desire not to discriminate against any persons engaged by us on the basis of their gender, sexual orientation, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, disability or age, (which are all referred to in the Equality Act as “Protected Characteristics”) nor the fact that they are a part-time worker, a fixed-term employee or a member of a trade union. Our workers and applicants for employment shall not be disadvantaged by any policies or conditions of service which cannot be justified for operational purposes.

The principle of non-discrimination and equality of opportunity applies equally to the treatment of visitors, clients, and suppliers by members of our workforce.
