Specialising in transactional work Nigel feels strongly that owner-managers should be provided with clear and cost effective legal solutions throughout the lifespan of their business.
Nigel joined our firm in 2018 as a Partner in the corporate and commercial department, having worked at large national firms throughout his career. Over the past six years, Nigel’s connections and experience have helped add to the firm’s solid reputation for corporate work and he continues to work regularly on transactions with local, national and international elements.
Nigel says “Each client has its own requirements and they are entitled to expect that their legal advisers will understand these and act accordingly. The key is getting to know quickly what each client needs and then delivering!”.
With more than thirty years of experience dealing with owner-managers as well as large corporates, Nigel has completed a huge range of transactions across all sectors including retail, hospitality, manufacturing, processing, engineering and energy sectors, many in his native Teesside. These transactions include sales, acquisitions, management buy-outs, joint ventures and mergers.
Nigel also carries out work on projects involving the public sector, acting for local authorities selling assets to the private sector and over the past few years assisting with some of the regeneration projects currently happening on Teesside including most recently in relation to Teesside Airport’s Business Park and the proposed redevelopment of Coatham Arena.
Asked about working with Endeavour Nigel says “I have never for a second regretted coming back to work on Teesside as this is my home and where I started my career. I still get a kick out of being part of a process where owner-managers, businesses and local authorities achieve their goals, and I hope to continue by providing support with clear, understandable advice”.
Nigel is a trustee of Tees Foundation, an independent charity with Teesside in its DNA. Tees Foundation supports charities and community groups across Teesside using funds from endowments received from local, businesses and individuals since it was set up in 1988.
Nigel leads the team at Endeavour in relation to Lindy Electronics’ legal requirements. He’s accessible and down to earth, providing the kind of commercially pragmatic advice my business requires.
