Nigel began his role as Partner in 2018, specialising in transactional work he is passionate about providing owner-managers with affordable legal solutions.
Nigel joined our firm in 2018 as a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial department, bringing over 25 years legal knowledge with him to the team.
Dealing with many locally based and privately owned businesses, Nigel’s experience enables him to complete corporate transactions in a variety of sectors, in particular, the manufacturing and energy sectors, handling deals for companies ranging from local SME’s to national and international companies such as Sembcorp Utilities and PD Ports.
Nigel has also carried out work for the public sector, previously advising the local authority owners of Durham Tees Valley Airport on its sale and continuing to provide advice to the local authorities on their ongoing minority shareholding in the airport. In addition, Nigel helped establish and acted as company secretary to Tees Valley Regeneration throughout its ten-year life.
Specialising in corporate transactional work, in particular assisting owner-managers to realise the value of their businesses. Nigel guided the management team of local business Fine Organics through their buy out from German chemical giant Evonik Industries and later their sale to a private equity-backed management team. Nigel also advised the owners of Scientific Laboratory Supplies on their merger with French-based Dominique Dutscher SAS, and the owners of Chemoxy International on their sale to Novacap SAS.
