Countryside Productivity Scheme opens to English farmers

Posted by Lotty Reeves on 22nd April 2015

The Countryside Productivity Scheme is now open for applications. Grants are available for a variety of projects, such as technology to improve the health and productivity of livestock.

Farmers, woodland owners and forestry contractors in England can apply for the scheme, which is administered by the Rural Payments Agency. The type of grant which an applicant can apply for depends on the applicant’s choice of equipment or technology.

Successful applicants will receive a capital grant equal to 40% of their project costs. ‘Small’ grants are worth between £2,500 and £35,000, while ‘large’ grants are worth between £35,000 and £1 million. Applications must be submitted by 30th June 2015.
