Endeavour’s commercial property team advise on major, new Teesside retail development

Posted by Lotty Reeves on 8th November 2016

Our commercial property team has had a busy few months advising on a new retail centre which opened in Ingleby Barwick in October.

The new 15,000 sq ft centre is anchored by the Co-op foodstore and has been joined by a 130 seat Al Forno Italian restaurant, Yarm Butchers, Cooplands Bakery, Fatso gourmet pizzas and sandwich shop, Roseberry Newhouse Estate Agents, Stockton Cycling and Running, Barnardo’s and a hardware store,

So far 95% of the space has been let with only one unit remaining available with strong interest from potential tenants at Sandgate Park, located off Myton Way, Ingleby Barwick at its junction with The Rings.

Construction of the new centre completed at the end of October when the units were handed over to the tenants for their internal fit out work.  The first units are expected to open in late November.

Endeavour Partnership’s commercial property experts worked with agents Dodds Brown and Connect Property North East (CPNE) on the new development.

Alexandra Ketchley, one of our leading commercial property solicitors advised on all the legal aspects including site acquisition, development structure and letting agreements.

Alexandra said: “Ingleby Barwick is one of Europe’s largest private housing estates with household numbers expected to exceed 25,000 this year.  This new high quality neighbourhood development will provide excellent restaurant, shopping and other services for this growing population and it has been a very exciting project to be involved with.”
