When the global pandemic hit, our client Rounton Coffee Roasters recognised how stretched the NHS would be and wanted to help. They committed to providing the NHS with 20,000 cups of coffee, the equivalent of a quarter of a tonne of roasted coffee. They reached this goal by the end of May supplying the Friarage, Harrogate Hospital, Ambulance Services, Roseberry Park and other ancillary NHS services, as well as Teesside Hospice.
Creating “Nightingale Coffee”, a unique blend of coffee for the cause, the Rounton team are now working with local businesses who are supporting the initiative by donating coffee batches for distribution to the health sector.
Lee Bramley, Managing Partner at the Endeavour Partnership said:
“We have a great relationship with Rounton Coffee and we have assisted the company with their legal requirements since they began. When we spoke to the team and heard about the initiative, we knew we needed to support the cause right away.
“We donated 10 kilos of coffee to say thank you to the NHS and we hope the NHS Trusts across the region enjoy a quality cup of coffee from everyone here at Endeavour! The initiative has already seen local business across Teesside donating to the cause, it just shows what we can do when we come together.”

“At the start of the pandemic, we set ourselves the mammoth task of supplying the local NHS services with the equivalent of 20,000 cups of coffee. It was a huge task for a small business like ours. When we reached the target, it was bittersweet. It seemed wrong for us to stop, so we asked like-minded businesses to help assist the campaign and to keep the NHS Caffeinated. We are just so pleased that Endeavour and others have been able to extend this campaign for much longer, after all, nothing yet has changed, so we can’t stop now”.
