Business, taken personally.

A message from our Managing Partner, Lee Bramley

Posted by Lotty Reeves on 11th May 2020

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an effect on all businesses in one way or another with some having to temporarily close based on the government guidelines, others choosing to ‘mothball’ their business and others operating from home where possible. The response from the public and private sectors, key workers and individuals has been a source of immense pride.

The team here at EP are working remotely to continue to support our clients and across all four of our departments,we are enjoying regular contact with businesses to understand the challenges they are currently facing.

Business owners and leadership teams have had to assess their practices and adapt methods in all areas of their organisations. The government has offered help with innovative grants and schemes to help businesses through these challenging times.

Our Employment Law team have been keeping up to date with the new Coronavirus Job Retention (or furlough) scheme. They have been helping clients understand the law surrounding this and ensuring they are able to utilise the scheme to support their individual circumstances. Head of department, Stephen Elliott recently hosted a number of virtual events to share our learnings and answer specific questions.

Our property team have been supporting our commercial landlord clients and helping them to understand the regulations and requirements and how they can continue to operate under the new guidelines.

In our corporate and commercial department, our team of experts have been helping clients to work to their commitments and abide by existing terms and conditions whilst ensuring they are protecting their businesses for the future.

And, our accomplished team in commercial disputes are continuing to support clients with a wide range of matters from construction and engineering disputes to insolvency advice.

Since the inception of the firm 20 years ago, we have been committed to offering the highest level of legal advice focused on the individual needs of the clients’ business. We pride ourselves on knowing the law whilst understanding the business of our clients.

The situation many businesses find themselves in at the moment is unusual and we are continuing to offer the level of support our clients expect from us. Our team are committed to supporting the business community and ensuring our clients are supported through this pandemic.

At Endeavour, we continue to champion business within the region and have been lucky to work with some of the major organisations within the Tees Valley. Focussing on commercial law has allowed us to work with some dynamic leaders and we are proud of the way people are adapting to the current situation.

Myself and the rest of the team are here to support businesses and help them move forward, whether their recent changes are temporary or long term. We are encouraging those with questions to pick up the phone or send us an email with any queries you may have; our experts are on hand to help.

Finally, my thanks go out to the full team here at The Endeavour Partnership who are adapting well to the current situation and continuing to support our clients.

As a region and a business community, I am sure we will come through this by continuing to share our experiences and supporting each other where we can.

Stay safe.
Lee Bramley, Managing Partner.
