Partner’s retirement leads to a new head of the Commercial Property department at The Endeavour Partnership.

The largest commercial law firm in the Tees Valley has appointed a new head of its commercial property department due to the forthcoming retirement of one of its longstanding partners.

Partner Jamie Brown has been promoted to the role at The Endeavour Partnership which provides commercial legal advice to clients within the Tees Valley and further afield.

Jamie has taken over the role following the announcement of the retirement in July 2021 of Simon Wake who joined the firm in 2000 as a partner, having qualified as a solicitor in 1988. During his time at The Endeavour Partnership, Simon has been involved in many of the large-scale developments within the region and represented clients such as Rockliffe Hall, Middlesbrough Borough Council, Benchmark Leisure, New Century Inns and Homes by Carlton throughout his career.

Jamie, who joined The Endeavour Partnership in 2003, becoming a partner in 2010, has spent 18 years in the department and will now lead the nine-strong team which specialises in commercial property needs from large scale acquisitions to sales and purchases of expanding portfolios.

Jamie, who has a personal interest in agriculture and works closely with clients in the renewable sector, said: “I’m delighted with my new role and I am looking forward to continuing to build on what Simon has developed; we have a fantastic team and it’s a privilege to lead it.”

Simon added: “Jamie and I have worked together in the commercial property department for 18 years and it is a natural progression for him to take over the role. I’ve enjoyed my time at the firm and will continue to follow The Endeavour Partnership’s success.”
